What it explores

Most works begin before anyone opens a tool. Starting Points is about that early stage: noticing what holds your attention, turning it into a question and imagining what another person might experience. The series treats aesthetic judgement as something you can practise, not a talent you either have or lack.

02

How people meet it

Each piece is a short read with a prompt to try. Two are published so far: Start with a question you care about and What makes an artwork interactive?. They are written first for creators aged 13-18 and are useful to anyone beginning a work.

03

Medium and making

Plain language, one idea per piece and a small exercise at the end. Reference photographs are credited to their photographers and sources.

Work on something like this.
